This is how I found Grant this morning. Showered and reading!
Grant finished his homework by 8:00. Elizabeth has done shortly after. Next week more work will be coming as virtual teaching will begin. We took a walk and came home and got the sidewalk chalk out. Grant and I played some basketball. It as then lunch time. Lunch time seems to come earlier each day. The "use your school stomach" isn't lasting! The kids requested chicken nuggets. Brandon overheard this and thought he wanted some too, but I told him we had to save the kid food for kids and he needed to eat grown up food! So we had breaded chicken breast sandwiches :)
We took the day off from scrubbing pavers and grinding rust off the fence. The afternoon hit 70 degrees and we were in shorts and the kids were throwing water balloons at each other. It was a very small warm window, but we took advantage of it for that brief amount of time. We had a virtual chat with our friends - who you know live a whole 2 miles away! We started outside but there was a lot of mowing so we had to move the party indoors. I promised the kids we would eat before 7 tonight. Unfortunately by the time we finished our chat and got pizza ordered - there was a long wait. We finally sat down for dinner at 7:40. Elizabeth almost fell asleep in her pudding and had been battling a headache all day. Grant who wakes up by 6:30 every morning no matter what time he goes to bed was also carrying some extra baggage under his eyes. Although they both have the cutest little freckles right now - they were tired. We sent them to bed and they didn't fight us. Grant actually didn't know what day it was. As I was tucking him in he said something about waking up at 6:25 the last two days - Wednesday and Thursday. I said "buddy, today is Friday". His typical response "WHAT?! I thought it was Thursday!" Happy weekend dude! Everyone is having a hard time keeping track of the days!
