My brother came home for the IL game and Sara surprised us all and came home too! We had a wonderful dinner together Friday night (beef tenderloin, green beans and my favorite au gratin potatoes that my mom makes and of course mushrooms for Elizabeth!). Brandon, David and my dad went golfing Saturday morning and then Sara and I joined them to head to Champaign. It has been a few years since we have actually been able to tailgate. We have season tickets, but of course don't make it to all of the games. This year we put a few games on our calendar and it just so happened that David had planned to come home for a few too.
Dad grabbed a cat nap at the rest area where we met up with our friends.
It was a great game and an exciting win! We didn't get home until after midnight. The game was so close that everyone stayed for it, so even though we let the traffic clear for an hour it still took along time to get on the road. So much fun!
