Today was Grant's one year check-up. Our little peanut weighed in at....(drum roll please)... 24 pounds and 3 ounces! This is actually only the 85th percentile. He measured 30 3/4 inches long. All of his growth is very much in proportion. They tested his iron again and it was 11.3 and they like to see 11+. All in all he checked out good.
He had to get four shots, two in each leg. This is one of those times where his meaty thighs come in handy! He cried, but as soon as I held him in my arms he was calm. He was asleep before we even got home (we live a mile from the office!).
It's hard to believe his weight has more than tripled in year! He doesn't even get whole milk! We are going to start letting him feed himself more and cut back on all of the baby food. He got really angry last night when he ran out of food on his tray! Don't mess with this kid and his food!
Before we turn around twice he will be walking!
