Llama, Llama

Is it a llama or an alpaca? Well I should have paid closer attention because now I don't remember, but I am pretty certain it was an alpaca show (but maybe llamas were there too?!)

This was a pretty big deal for Peoria because it is the last time the national alpaca show will be held here. It was last day of school before spring break and Ima had read in the newspaper that this event was going on and thought it sounded like great fun and it really was. One thing I can tell you is that alpaca farmers are very proud and they love to tell you about their animals. There are lots of different types and uses for their ... fur? wool? hair? ... exterior coverings!

But no more time for alpacas... a later winter storm is coming and we are supposed to be leaving on our first RV trip to the smoky mountains!!
