Christmas Walk

So the day of the Christmas Walk came and went in a blur. I really enjoyed talking to all of the people and seeing people I hand't seen in a really long time and then going through the mental exercise of "who is that person and where do I know them from?!" Elizabeth's holiday music program was scheduled for the same night so I had a friend cover for me as we wouldn't miss a Mr.Nelson production for anything in the world!

Pops found this musical Santa that he let me borrow for the walk. It is motion activated so it was fun to just sit in the next room and watch the crowd's reactions!

No I don't cook with the wreath there!

Ima made a new red cushion for the bench....amongst numerous other pillows and throws!

I only explained the names in the brick on the fireplace 3,287 times :)

No snow to set the scene but no rain either so the floors stayed dry!

There were cookies on the platter at the far end of the table - there were a few less by the end of the night!

The day came and went, but when I got into bed I started freaking out about all the shoes that had walked throughout the house. My feet started to crawl! I should have just gotten up and cleaned the floors then, but instead I had a horrible night's sleep.   As soon as the kids were on the bus the next morning I hot washed all the floors! As the Historical Society says, "We'd be history without you" we will go ahead and take this as another check that box moment and good deed done. As a bonus we got to really enjoy our Christmas decor for a good long time this year! It might never look that good again!
